Decompressor cam bog weight return spring 70% stronger Z190/212 engines.

Finally ready our 70% stronger decomp spring. This help reduce the load on the starter chain by not allow the bog weight to swing out until the engine starts, also helps when switching off that it prevents kick back/bounce back.

Stock spring      70% spring

There is a small amount of work/checking to do when you fit.

Due to the spring is longer by 1mm it can cause the bog weight to stick. If this happens you have to bend out the retainer plate out, carefully do this in a vice cont on the engine.

Make sure you have bent out the above retainer or remove some of the end of the bog weight or it will end up snapping the spring when you tighten.

Also make sure you have the spring in the right place when you install or you will end up snapping it.

The weight needs to just move freely with no excess end float or the arm will not interrupt the cam roller.
