Custom made needle reduces fuel passing under decell that causes a misfire on re opening of the throttle.

We now prefer this carb over the VM26 for low to mid range riding

Base Jetted to run with above CC, we will add other jetting as soon as we have dynode them on other CC’s

Idle screws are a bit lose with these carbs you can pack out spring with an extra washer if you find its moving with vibrations.

A little over view on jetting

So out of 10 YX140/150 engines we have tested on there is a small variation on main jet.

Common is the supplied main 112 this actually measures 115.

Now due to the differences in exhausts it dose effect what main you need.

So far the range we have used to set up the above engines are 107.5 110 115

So if you have a miss around 7000 rpm its rich so you will need to drop the main down

The above set up works perfectly all over the rev range on and off load, only slightly rich with very light throttle opening with no load.

Tip

When removing the float bowel make sure the carb is fully drained ad as dry as you can get it, as when the oxygen hits the rubber gasket when it’s wet with fuel it’s going to expand.

It will shrink back if you dry it off a put it in the freezer for a couple of hours!

We have removed the rubber seal from this kit and now supply the kit with a gasket instead. This improves reliability of product and helps avoid distortion, Use with RTV and allow to set before using. DO NOT USE O RING AS THEY WILL DISTORT

You only need to tighten so the carb doesn’t turn, any tighter you will split the rubber.
